Here is a tutorial on how to make your own ear wires.
Tools needed:
- Silver 19-21 gauge full or half hard wire (at least 8" in length).
- Wire cutters.
- Round barrel (like that of a plastic pen) to use as a form.
- Round nose pliers.
- Flat nose pliers.
- File (even a finger file can work).
The video does zoom in for close up instruction so you can see details. Some details are lost in the video upload to blogger so I am working on finding a hosting spot for a higher resolution video for anyone to view. But for now I hope this is good enough.
Feel free to post any questions you may have and I will try to answer them.
Enjoy the video and come visit my shop LoopsDesigns to see more of my creations.

Hey, Great videos, thank you so much for sharing. I'm going to give it ago!
Your welcome. Hope it is helpful.
Thanks for the "how to". Just the push I needed to try.
Question:
Do you use sterling silver? If not what is the best for beginners?
Any suggestions for wire suppliers?
I use sterling. If you want something cheaper then just use some craft wire but realize it may not inspire you as much because it is not going to turn out as pretty.

Awesome video! You make it look so easy.
It does get easy especially with lots of practice. I remember my first few and no one taught me i just struggled on my own and they were not pretty. don't give up if your first pair is not perfect they will quickly get easier to make.
Thanks for sharing, Loops! Very clever the way you curve them both at the same time to make them symmetrical.
