Check This Out!
I was contacted back in Sept/Oct 2006 by the editor of Step by Step Wire Jewelry magazine to do a how to article on my "Vineyard" earrings with my "Art Deco" eawires. I spent several weekends on the project and submitted it. It now published and available on news-stands now (see magazine cover above). My article starts on page 44 and is called "Art Deco Earwires". I found the magazine sale on Sunday at my local Barnes & Noble! Happy crafting to all.

Hey there! Congratulations on being in the magazine! I just happened to pick it up yesterday at the grocery store and saw this article which was why I bought the mag. Then when I read the whole thing I realized it was you! That was so cool!
I was just wondering if you need to quench this in water? Can you use a little butane torch? I don't own a torch (yet) but I would love to try these. They're very cool!
Again, congratulations!

Hi Ginger, Glad you like the earring project. Yes you can use a butane torch. I have not used one as i use a propane one. I never quench the silver as it seems to cool in 30 sec maybe a minute. Make sure you set it on a tile or some surface that wont burn/melt as it cools.
Hope you have fun making it
Thanks for the info! I'm most definitely gonna get a torch! :)
Sarah, congratulations on being published (4 months later). That's really awesome. I just subscribed to your blog so I'll get these updates sooner rather than later.
